1975 is a personal design — a portfolio piece I designed over 10 years ago.
Using the roman numerals for 1975, it's a combination of vector and raster artwork that I started in Illustrator and finished in Photoshop with organic elements and a colorful, vibrant color palette.
As one of the most successful and well-known e-liquid manufacturers in the industry, Villain Vapors is a household name to vapers worldwide. The first piece here was a massive vinyl banner I designed that was hung near the entrance of the Ontario Convention Center to show Villain Vapors' status as the Platinum Sponsor at the largest vape convention in the world, ECC.
I’ve also included a print ad placed in Tokewell Magazine, digital flyers for their social media accounts, their booth design (water tower and all) for vape events, and eliquid bottle label designs.
I spent over 5 years of my early career honing my skills at an ad agency called Millennium Advertising that eventually became Peter Montoya Inc. The agency positioned itself as the foremost expert in "Personal Branding", and our designs reflected that.
It's a great philosophy, and many of its characteristics have carried over into my own work.
This was one of my first t-shirt designs that ended up selling very well on a large number of vaping websites and vape retail stores. A few of my other tee designs are shown here.
We released a CaliVapers calendar as a promotional piece to further strengthen our brand presence in brick-and-mortar stores.
As a piece of collateral that would be visible all-year long to vendors and consumers, it ended up being an important component of our 2016 marketing plan.
I have over 10 years of experience in creating collateral for small and large events including trade shows, conventions and meet-ups. I also handled co-planning, promotion, and event design for Vapers Unite, a electronic cigarette trade show in Washington that attracted over 1,000 attendees.
Typically, these projects will start with a theme graphic and branch out into anywhere from 10 to 50 additional deliverables that maintain that theme which includes name badges, powerpoint presentations, posters, stage graphics, welcome booklets, banner-ups, and more.
High Voltage Vaporz is a hugely successful eliquid manufacturer, and it was a pleasure to work on such a vibrant and visually exciting brand.
Shown here are just a few Instagram graphics and wall posters I designed for them.
Halcyon Vapors and Wyze Eliquids, would call on me often for design and branding work.
DIsplayed here are a few print ads and flyers I designed for him along with the booth design for vape conventions.
VAPE Magazine asked my CaliVapers partner and I if we'd like a regular column in their bi-monthly publication, the largest of its kind in the world. Here are a few spreads I've created.
Showcased here is a collection of Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter ads I've designed for various companies and events.
I design numerous themes and coordinating pieces (which includes welcome booklets, name badges, luggage tags, gift cards, venue maps and more) for a long-running event offered as an incentive for auto dealers nationwide.
Here are some of the theme graphics I’ve created through the years.
